Drink green tea, protect your ovaries: a daily cup lowers your risk of ovarian cancer, according to recent research - Diet and Nutrition - Brief Article

GREEN TEA'S REPUTATION AS A potent cancer fighter continues to grow. Not only does it have the potential to ward off bladder and breast cancer, but studies now show it may also protect your ovaries against cancer. Women who drank at least a cup of green tea dally had a 39 percent lower risk of getting ovarian cancer than those who didn't drink the brew daily, reported the Australian team of researchers who compiled the data.

The protective benefits probably come from its antioxidant power, says study co-author Andy Lee, Ph.D. Lee recommends that you prepare the tea the way the women in the study did: Brew 1 to 2 tablespoons of dry tea leaves in 1 1/2 to 2. cups of boiled water for 5 minutes and strain it before drinking.
