Secondary Bone Loss in Breast Cancer Survivors. (Treat Metabolic Disorders).

WASHINGTON -- Osteoporotic women who have a history of breast cancer are at increased risk for hidden disorders of bone and mineral metabolism that also contribute to their bone loss, Dr. C. Tannenbaum said at an international symposium on women's health and menopause.

"Women with a history of breast cancer who a e found to have low bone mass should be aggressively investigated for treatable secondary causes of bone loss," said Dr. Tannenbaum of the departments of epidemiology and medicine at McGill University Montreal.
