The Food and Drug Administration - Industry News - Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition Adverse Reporting System - Brief Article

The Food and Drug Administration last month announced the development of a new, comprehensive system for tracking and analyzing adverse event reports involving foods, cosmetics and dietary supplements through its Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition division. The new CFSAN Adverse Reporting System will begin collecting adverse event reports and sending notification letters to the concerned vendors Sept. 16. However, the system is being pilot tested through May. CFSAN will continue collecting adverse event reports through traditional means until then.
