Drug tests expand - American Bio Medica Corp. introduces at-home durg testing kit - Brief Article On the heels of a recent announcement by the National Institute on Drug Abuse that Ecstasy use is on the rise, American Bio Medica Corp. (Kinderhook, NY) stated that its at-home drug testing kit can screen urine for the drug, which is also known as MDMA, E, XTC, or Adam. The Rapid Drug Screen has yet to be approved for consumer use, but the company noted that physicians can administer the test. The same company also announced that its 9-panel Rapid Drug Screen has received a design patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office. The test simultaneously tests for THC, cocaine, opiates, PCP, amphetamines, benzodiazepines, methamphetamines, and barbiturates. Finally, the test maker launched its new "industrial" version of the Drug Detector at September's American Society for Industrial Security meeting in Orlando, Fla. The product is a spray that detects drug residue on flat surfaces.
