ViroLogic to Provide Phenotypic HIV Drug Resistance Testing Through LabCorp's Nationwide Laboratory Network

Agreement Increases Physician and Patient Access to

PhenoSense(TM)HIV Assay

ViroLogic, Inc. announced today that PhenoSense(TM) HIV, the Company's phenotypic drug resistance assay, is now available through the national laboratory services network of Laboratory Corporation of America(R) Holdings (LabCorp(R)) (NYSE: LH). Under the terms of the agreement, ViroLogic will perform the PhenoSense HIV assay on specimens referred by LabCorp.

Today's agreement will provide physicians and patients access to PhenoSense HIV through LabCorp's network of 900 Patient Service Centers and 25 major laboratories across the country. LabCorp offers more than 2,000 clinical tests, including sophisticated molecular diagnostics in the area of infectious diseases.

PhenoSense HIV, launched in 1999, is already available through three other major clinical reference laboratories in the United States - Quest Diagnostics, Specialty Laboratories and American Medical Laboratories (AML).
