Pharmacy benefits company Caremark Rx and its rival AdvancePCS last month completed their previously announced merger agreement, setting in motion a string of executive moves NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Pharmacy benefits company Caremark Rx and its rival AdvancePCS last month completed their previously announced merger agreement, setting in motion a string of executive moves, including the retirement of A.D. Frazier, president and chief operating officer of Caremark Rx.
Succeeding Frazier is Mac Crawford, chairman and chief executive officer of Caremark Rx. Crawford is assuming the additional role of president.
Other members of the Caremark Rx management team include Howard McLure, chief financial officer; Ed Hardin, general counsel; Joe Aita, chief clinical officer; Dave Golding, specialty products and services; David Joyner, sales; and Brad Karro, corporate development.
Caremark Rx revealed plans in September to acquire AdvancePCS in a deal valued at $6 million.
